About TourLedger
TourLedger is a free scorecard for people touring homes to buy or rent. It helps you record each visit against the same weighted criteria and compare homes side by side.
Who runs it
TourLedger is built and run by Eddy Hwang, an independent developer. You can reach him at eddyhwang.kr@gmail.com.
How it works
- The scorecard is a static web page. All scoring happens in your browser.
- Your ledger is saved in your browser’s local storage on this device. There is no account and no database of users’ homes.
- You can download a backup file, print the comparison, or create a read-only share link. All three are started by you.
What it does not do
- It does not pull listing details, prices or photos from property sites.
- It does not rate neighborhoods, schools or crime. The only scores are the ones you enter.
- It does not judge whether a building is safe, sound or fairly priced. See After the tour for the checks that do.
- It does not recommend a home. The ranking is a summary of your own scores and settings.
Where the guide content comes from
Practical tips in the guides come from common house-hunting practice. Facts about inspections, costs and disclosures are taken from official U.S. consumer sources (the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and the Environmental Protection Agency), linked on the page where they are used and last checked on 16 October 2026.
